Mailboxes |
|
WorldClient
can be set to collect mail from any number of additional POP mailboxes
to which you have access. For example, you may have separate email
accounts for home and work but wish to collect mail from both at once.
The Mailboxes area (on
the Mailboxes
page in
Options)
is used for editing and adding those POP mailboxes from which you
wish to collect email messages. For each mailbox entry you will
specify the following items:
Mailbox
Name
This
is a descriptive name to be used for
referring to the mailbox (e.g. "Home Mail", "My ISP
mail", "Work", etc.). This name will be listed on the Mailbox
Color Legend
at the bottom of the Message
Listing
(Standard Theme)
or in the
section of the Navigation bar (Globe Theme).
Full
Name
This is the text
that you wish to appear in the From:
box of your outgoing mail.
Email
Address
This is the
email address of this Mailbox account. This is the address to which
recipients of messages from this address will reply - unless you
designate an alternate "Reply To:"
in the Compose
page's Advanced
options.
POP
Server
On
the Mailboxes
page, this is the mail server from which you wish to retrieve your
email messages. This will be a domain name or IP address (e.g.
mail.company.com, myisp.com, 127.0.0.1, etc.).
POP
User
On
the Mailboxes page,
this is your
account name/login
ID on
the POP
server from which you will be retrieving your mail.
POP
Pass
On
the Mailboxes page,
type into this box the password of the
account on
the
POP server from which you will be retrieving your mail.
Port
Number
On
the Mailboxes
page, you can use
this control for specifying the port on which WorldClient Pro will
retrieve your email. In most cases, you should leave this control on
the default setting of 110.
Delete
This drop-down
list box is used for controlling when WorldClient Pro will delete the
messages from the POP mailbox on the POP server listed above. The Delete
control has three options to choose from:
Leave on Server - When this option is chosen, messages will not be deleted from the server from which they were collected. This feature is useful if you wish to leave mail in this POP mailbox so that it can be collected at a later time with another client.
When Emptying Trash - This option will cause messages to be left on the server until you delete them from the Trash folder. When you delete a message from your Trash folder, WorldClient will delete the message from the POP mailbox. This feature is also useful for leaving messages on a server so that they can be collected at a later time with another mail client. However, the difference between this feature and the Leave on Server control above is that you have the option to delete messages if you choose to do so.
Note |
Your account may have a size limitation placed on it which would cause your Trashfolder to be automatically emptied when the limit is reached. Your account may also be set to automatically empty the Trash folder when you log out. This setting is located in Personalize. |
When Retrieved - Choose this option if you want messages to be deleted from the POP server at the time that they are retrieved.
Note |
In order to speed up mail collection, WorldClient will leave messages exceeding a certain size limit on the POP server until your read them. These messages will still appear on the Message Listing, but will not be actually retrieved until you attempt to read them. If you have chosen the When Retrieved option above, these messages will not be deleted until you have read them, or deleted them from the Trash folder. |
